Tea House tidbits several kinds of Tea

Just like all other man made things, tealeaves also go thru a process that takes the best out of them. A premium quality tea is prepared after undergoing a strict process. The level of oxidization decided the category of a tea (which is nil also in some types).
Let’s discuss kinds of tea according to the creation process used for them:
  1. White Tea: Least processing without oxidization of tealeaves creates white tea. This may seem easy but the production of white is the rarest because if the complexity of the creating process. In this process, tealeaves are allowed to wither and arid to avoid deterioration, which needs a firm attention.
  2. Green Tea: Green tea is also un-oxidized but is a slight more processed then white tea. For destruction of the enzymes responsible for oxidization of tealeaves, these leaves are either roasted, pan fired or steamed.
  3. Oolong Tea: The oxidization level for this type of tea varies from 10 to 80%, that’s why it is called semi-oxidized. The process includes plucking of matured leaves, withering, rolling, oxidization and ablaze.
  4. Black Tea: This kind of tea is completely oxidized. This process doesn’t wait for the withering of tealeaves so they are plucked before maturing, are rolled, completely oxidized and then fired. A complete hand process instead of machines takes out the finest tea in the world.
The more a tea is fermented, the darker it is in color. That is reason why white and green tea possess light color and black tea is darker.
The various health benefits of tea include:
  • Presence of L-Theanine not only provides stronger immunity but also provides relief in the moments of excessive stress and sadness, also helps in looking a person younger with its anti-aging effect
  • Regular tea intake works for cleaning of arteries which is very much required to prevent chances of stroke and heart attacks
  • Studies found that tea can be effective in improving the metabolism of body, with which one can expect speedy results in weight loss programs
  • If sugar is avoided with tea then some kinds of teas also works effectively for diabetics
  • Tea also aids in keeping brain cells healthy thus shuns neurological disorders
  • Lower amount of caffeine make it healthier then coffee
